Quality Assurance & Certification
Quality isn’t a final checkpoint—it’s a habit from the first brief to the last packed carton. At Damoness, the goal is simple: the sample you approve is the batch you receive—same look, same feel, same comfort, and dependable everyday wear.
What “good quality” means to us
- Batch consistency: color, shine, and stone placement match the approved sample.
- Comfort on skin: smooth edges, no snags, pleasant to wear.
- Built to last: stones stay secure; clasps and hinges work reliably.
- Shelf-ready: clean packing, correct labels, easy to receive.
How we build and maintain quality
- Agree on a clear standard. We align on a signed-off sample and a short spec pack (key sizes, finish, stones, branding). That’s our shared reference.
- Check at each step. Casting, assembly, stone setting, polishing, finishing, and packing each have simple checklists—small checks prevent big problems.
- Measure what matters. We verify key dimensions, expected weight ranges, color/finish uniformity—and, when relevant, plating thickness with a handheld meter.
- Review the batch, not just pieces. Side-by-side comparisons keep the overall look steady across the order.
- Document and trace. Photos, checklists, and lot labels let us answer questions quickly.
Timelines are flexible and depend on design and quantity. Straightforward styles can move faster; intricate work may need more time. We’ll propose a realistic schedule and keep you updated.
What we actually check
- Fit & finish: smooth edges and clean surfaces; comfortable profiles.
- Stones: level seats, even spacing, no visible gaps; no sharp prongs or rims.
- Mechanics: chains, clasps, hinges, and safety locks open/close smoothly.
- Color & surface: consistent tone across the order; no obvious patches or scratches.
- Logos/engraving: correct position, clean lines, true to your artwork.
- Packaging: correct cards, pouches/boxes, labels and barcodes (if used).
If you prefer a named sampling plan (e.g., AQL), we can follow it. If not, we use a sensible, risk-based inspection that fits your product and budget.
Certification & compliance (when needed)
- Hallmark/assay support for markets that require it (some EU/UK destinations).
- Material & finish statements: metal content, plating notes, “nickel-safe” awareness where applicable.
- Third-party testing on request (e.g., metal fineness, plating thickness, other retailer-specified checks).
- Clear stone disclosure: natural vs. lab-grown, with documents if you need them.
- Export paperwork: commercial invoice with correct HS codes (71xx), packing list, certificate of origin, waybill, shipping labels—sent as a pre-alert pack before departure.
If you follow specific retailer/marketplace rules, share them with us—we’ll align documents, labels, and packing.
What you receive before shipment
- Final photo set of products and packing.
- Short inspection summary listing what we checked and any notes.
- Key measurements (e.g., ring size range, bracelet length, indicative weight bands).
- Plating/thickness readings when plating is part of the spec.
- Unit and carton labels (EAN/UPC/QR if used) and the export pre-alert pack.
If something isn’t right
Tell us promptly and we’ll respond quickly. Depending on the case, we can repair, replace/remake affected units, or offer a fair credit—the aim is to resolve fast and keep your launch on track.
Working together
Start with a photo, sketch, or an existing sample. We align on look & feel, sign off a sample, then scale production to the same standard. Schedules always include a reasonable buffer so plans stay realistic. Contact: sale@damoness.com . Damoness — You imagine, we craft.
